AFRICA CENTRE RULES AND REGULATIONS
The following are the terms and conditions under which rooms are sold:
- Liability: The management, employees or representatives are not liable and responsible for any injuries nor losses to guests, and/or their visitors regardless of the circumstances surrounding the loss of injury, accident to any person or loss of or damage to property brought by me/us upon the company’s premises regardless whether such injury, loss or damage results from the negligence of the company or from any other cause whatsoever on the premises. Guests are advised to look after their valuables. Africa Centre Guest House liability is limited within the framework o an Innkeeper at common law.
- Vehicles no responsibility will be taken for any loss to property or damage to vehicles or injury to persons due to fire, theft or any other cause whatsoever while on Africa Centre premises.
Washing of vehicles is strictly not allowed at Africa Centre.
- We undertake to procure that every person accompanying me/us will accept the aforesaid conditions of residence/presence and will agree to be bound by them.
- We indemnify (where more then one person, jointly and severally) the company against any claim by any person accompanying me, including especially any minor or disabled person in connection with his/her occupation of/presence on the premises, including specifically without being limited thereto, any claims arising from injury, loss or damage, as aforementioned and from any cause whatsoever.
- General Liability: In lieu of any condition or liability complied by Law, the liability Africa Centre Guest House in respect of any defect or failure in service supplied or damage attributable thereto is limited to making good replacement or refund (at the guest house discretion) of only the service provided by the guest house. Any complaints must be made within two days of service rendered.
- Shortages: Management is not liable in any manner whatsoever for any water and electricity shortages. The hotel is equipt with a generator in case of Black out or power shortages
- Settlement of Bills (Payment in Advance): Bills must be paid upon presentation. Cheques are not accepted except bank guaranty cheques. With regard to room accommodation, our Policy is as follows:
a) full payment prior to moving into room
b) that guest(s) make payment in advance by midday in the event of extension of stay.
c) Africa Centre required a deposit fee on arrival for any damage or losses from the property.
- Default: In case of default in payment of dues, the management shall have a lien over the luggage and belongings of the defaulter and shall detain the same and proceed to sell or auction such property at any time without reference to the defaulter and appropriate the net sale proceeds towards amount owned by the defaulter.
- Personal Obligation: I agree that my liability for the stay at Africa Centre Guest House is not waived and agree to be held personally liable in the event that the indicated person, company or association fails to pay for any part or full amount of the charges. I also agree to abide by the rules and regulation of Africa Centre Guest House, which has been read, received and understood by me.
- Departure: "Check out" time is 11:00 a.m. If you wish to stay up to 6:00 p.m. and the room is available, an additional day room charge will apply. Full rate applies after 6:00 p.m. Upon departure, rooms and included fixtures are required to be in good working condition.
- Right of Management: Management reserves the right of admission to any person to the premises. Guest's visitors (non guest house residents) are not allowed in guestrooms. Guests may meet their visitors in the hotel's public areas. Management has the right to amend the rules and regulations without prior notice.
- Access to Room: Management and employees are permitted to enter any room in the ordinary course of duty to view the condition of the premises and to execute all necessary repairs and work.
- Extra Guest(s): If a hotel resident wishes to bring an extra guest or guest, he/she should register the guest(s) at the Reception and make full payment of room accommodation for the guest(s) before moving to the room(s).
- Please note Africa Centre Guesthouse is fully licensed and a corkage fee will be levied on all alcohol not purchased from the guesthouse.
- Privy of Contract: For in-house/staying guest(s) the accommodation contract is between the guest(s) and/or their agents on one hand and the hotel (Africa Centre Guest House) on the other hand. This contract gives certain rights and obligations to both parties. These rights and obligations are not transferable to any other party who is not privy to the contract.
- Room Card Keys: On checkout, please surrender your card key(s) at the Reception.
- Conservation: Guests are advised to conserve both electricity and water.
- Regulations: Guests are required to adhere to regulations given by the management to control use of common areas and entrances and exits to the premises. Regulations include controls of noise pollution and respect of other people in public entrances and exits to the premises. Regulations include controls on noise pollution and respect of other people in public areas.
- Damage to Property: Guests will be held responsible for any loss or damage to property of the guest house caused by themselves, their friends or any of their visitors.
- Weight Restrictions: Guest may not put any article, which would create a stress on the floor or the premises greater that five hundred pounds per square foot.
- Cooking: No cooking is allowed in guestrooms except self-catering rooms.
- Pets: Management does not allow any pets on premises.
- Government Rules and Regulations: Guests are requested to observe Government Rules and Regulations in force the respect to registration, firearms, etc.
- Amendment of Rules: The management reserves to itself the right to add to, alter or amend any of the above terms conditions and rules.
