Children Policy

If sharing with their parents and do not require an extra bed, children below 2 years of age are allowed free;
Extra beds for children can be arranged at 300 ZAR per bed;
Children above the age of 2 are charged at normal room rates;
Baby cots are available at an additional cost and must be arranged with reception.

Pets and Smoking

We regret no pets are allowed onto the premises.
No smoking except in designated areas.

Check-In/Out and Day Stay

Standard check-in times are from 14H00 and guests are requested to vacate their room at 11H00 on the day of departure. Should you wish to require a later check-out time, kindly contact our reception who in turn will make the necessary arrangements and advise you of any additional charges. People wanting day stays can enquire from our reservations department.

Bookings

All bookings are tentative and subject to room availability.

Confirmed Reservations: To confirm a booking, we require full payment or a voucher from a registered travel agent or tour operator. Prior to check-in, full payment must be made.

Credit card payments can be done online or by completing our offline authorization form. When paying by credit card in either way, your ID/Passport must match with the credit card used to pay for the room. The credit card will also need to be present for security purposes.

In a situation where you have made a reservation but did not pitch ("no shows"), no rooms will be released or refunds given.

Cancellation Policy

Room reservations are only guaranteed upon full payment or otherwise confirmed in writing by Africa Centre.

Non-arrival/Premature Departure: 100% of the total accommodation fee is payable.
Cancellation cost is calculated from the day prior to arrival and is based on the deposit paid:
- Within 7 days: 100% of deposit;
- Within 14 days: 75% of deposit;
- Within 21 days: 50% of deposit;
- Within 28 days: 25% of deposit;
- 7 days to arrival: Non refundable.
NO refunds will be made in events where the accommodation has already been paid and are currently checked into the lodge, unless explicitly stated in writing by Africa Centre Management.
Full payment of the contracted value is required preferably 30 days prior to arrival or upon placing the reservation, whichever is less.

Liability

Guest Liability
The management is not liable for any injuries nor losses to guests, and / or their visitors regardless of the circumstances surrounding the loss or injury whatsoever on the premises. Guests are advised to look after their valuables.

General Liability
In lieu of any condition or liability complied by Law, the liability of Africa centre Guest lodge in respect of any defect or failure in service supplied or damage attributable thereto is limited to making good by replacement or refund (at the guest lodge discretion) of only the service provided by the lodge. Any complaints must be made within two days of service rendered.

No claim for consequential damages, however arising, will be entertained. The liability excluded faults caused by fair wear and tear, abuse of service by guest, acts of God or any other cause beyond the hotel reasonable control.

Shortages
The lodge is not responsible for any external water and electricity shortages.

Force Majeure
The lodge is not responsible for any circumstances beyond its control.
